Marnie came into my life at a time when I really needed him. I was going through a hard time, I was behind with rent, I had just ended a 4 year long relationship and I really did not know what I was going to do with my life. I was lonely, I just moved not long ago, I had no friends. To sum it up, I was stuck in a pity party for a while and life was so not happy.

Marnie belonged to a cousin who could no longer keep a dog. My cousin has 2 young children and shortly after adopting Marnie from a shelter, she realized that she had an allergy to Marnie’s fur. It was something she had never experienced before, just in case any one is wondering why she hadn’t better planned for this. It was a huge shock to her and she tried to keep Marnie for another 6 months, putting in the effort to keep Marnie comfortable in the yard and allowing her children to play with Marnie without somehow getting any fur back into the house (which would have then sparked off another bout of allergic reaction for her). In the end, my cousin and her husband regretfully decided that it just was not going to work out. It was just too difficult and with 2 young children to look after, my cousin just could not afford to keep being ill with her allergy.

Come Christmas 2015.

And I was at my cousin’s house for a Xmas party.

And there Marnie was.

I asked my cousin why Marnie was not allowed in the house and she explained.

The lonely me and the lonely Marnie. Our eyes met and I went over to say hello. Marnie snuggled into me and was so excited.

And the rest they say, is history!

This is Marnie and my little dog blog and journal. I also started my dog grooming business (so glad I did!). We’re so glad you’re here to join us!
